The Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) has released whole-of-government guidance for cloud computing to support government agencies in making informed decisions through the cloud lifecycle.
The guidance is focused on agencies implementing the federal government’s cloud computing policy, which came into effect from 1 July, and helps them surpass common challenges, manage risk, and build capability as required.
Areas covered by the guidance include cloud strategy development; balancing contemporary cloud tech with legacy system management; bolstering security, privacy, and operational resilience; optimising AI and cloud service consumption; procurement, cost, and provider dependency management; and building up cloud service management skills.
