The Huawei Watch 6 Pro Space Edition features a premium titanium case, a ceramic bezel, and gold-colored accents. The Watch GT 7 Pro also utilizes a titanium alloy but is slightly lighter, weighing 55.5 grams (excluding the strap) compared to 60 grams. Both smartwatches are equipped with AMOLED displays boasting a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. The Watch 6 Pro’s panel is slightly larger at 1.5 inches, while the GT 7 Pro features a 1.47-inch display. In our testing, the Watch 6 Pro reached an impressive brightness of 3,637 cd/m².

The most significant difference lies in connectivity. While the Watch 6 Pro can communicate independently of the smartphone using eSIM and Wi-Fi, the GT 7 Pro does without these features. That said, the limited selection of apps available for HarmonyOS somewhat restricts the practical utility of the LTE connection.

Both models are well-equipped in terms of health features, supporting functions such as ECG, heart rate monitoring, and blood oxygen saturation measurement. The Watch 6 Pro additionally includes an “X-Tap” sensor, which enables health readings via the fingertip. Both watches also feature dual-band GNSS and a comprehensive suite of sports tracking functions.

The GT 7 Pro takes the lead when it comes to battery life: Huawei claims up to twelve days of typical use, whereas the Watch 6 Pro is rated for 4.5 days. In our testing, however, the Watch 6 Pro lasted about six days with the “always-on” display disabled, and four days and 17 hours with the display set to “always-on.”

For those seeking a sports and health watch with the longest possible battery life, the Watch GT 7 Pro is an excellent choice. Conversely, the Watch 6 Pro Space Edition is better suited for users who prioritize standalone cellular connectivity, additional health features, and an exclusive design.

As a child I was fascinated by my Commodore 16, and this sparked my enthusiasm for computers. Using my first modem, I surfed the BTX videotext system and later the World Wide Web. I have always been captivated by the latest technologies, and this is especially true for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. I’ve been part of the Notebookcheck team since 2013 and have also on occasion written for Notebookinfo.de, and I’m looking forward to testing new innovations for our readers. I like to spend my spare time indulging in photography and barbecues and being with my family.
