Cops in London lost the letter that an ex of Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas Markle, sent them in 2019, sounding the first alarm about his alleged child abuse, according to a report by The Times UK.

The city’s Metropolitan Police couldn’t find the missive — which Page Six exclusively revealed Saturday was penned by Thomas’s first wife, Roslyn Loveless — after reports broke Thursday that cops in the Philippines were investigating the 82-year-old for “hundreds if not thousands” of child sex abuse images that his son Thomas Markle Jr. said he found in his father’s Cebu home.

Embarrassingly, the Met were then forced to ask Meghan if she had kept a copy of the letter — which they had initially shared with her and husband Prince Harry’s office after receiving it from Loveless in January 2019.

In the letter, Loveless (who was married to the former TV lighting director from 1964 to 1975, and died in 2024) wrote, “I questioned Thomas Snr [sic] — he denied [the child sex abuse] accusation but stated that he went to the Philippines and Thailand because 12-year-olds are legal there.”

The ex-wife is also said to have claimed that Thomas Sr. posed a threat to Prince Harry, Meghan and the duchess’s mother, Doria Ragland.
