GEORGETOWN, Mass. —
One person died early Thursday in a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a box truck on Interstate 95 in Georgetown, Massachusetts.
Shortly after midnight, Massachusetts State Police responded to the crash on the northbound side of the highway.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of the tractor-trailer rear-ended the box truck that had pulled over in the breakdown lane, police said. The driver of the tractor-trailer died.
Two lanes of travel remain closed as crews work to remove the vehicles.
The victim’s name was not released.
The crash remains under investigation.
