A day after reports surfaced that senior running back Hollywood Smothers and sophomore tight end Nick Townsend will miss the rest of the season with injuries, the Texas Longhorns received some positive injury news on Friday as three players were upgraded from questionable to probable.

Listed as questionable on the first two SEC-mandated player availability reports, junior wide receiver Ryan Wingo, sophomore cornerback Kade Phillips, and sophomore nickel back Graceson Littleton were all upgraded to probable, indicating that they are all trending towards playing on Saturday against Missouri in Columbia.

That’s of particular importance for Wingo, the St. Louis product who was heavily recruited by the home-state Tigers.

It’s also significant news for the Texas secondary, which was at risk of playing without one or two of its starters in Phillips and Littleton.

Junior edge Colin Simmons and junior wide receiver Cam Coleman are both listed as questionable, marking no change over the three releases heading into gameday.
