The Philadelphia Flyers might finally have the talent to do soem damage on the power play.
In recent years, the Flyers going on the power play has struck fear into their own fans rather than the opposition. They went 32 for 214 (15.0%) last season, for the third-worst mark in the league. And it’s depressing to think that last year was an improvement as the Flyers’ power play was dead last in 2023-24, with a league-low 31 goals on 254 opportunities for a paltry 12.2%.
The Flyers have made some changes this offseason, though, bringing in Rick Tocchet as head coach and Jaroslav “Yogi” Svejkovsky to coach the power play. They also added what should be a great power-play weapon with a trade for Trevor Zegras.
