The Devils need another top-six winger — and fast. Giving Ondrej Palat and Stefan Noesen those minutes just isn’t going to cut it for a team that’s serious about contending in 2025-26.
It makes sense why general manager Tom Fitzgerald didn’t sign one this offseason — the free agent market was a complete crapshoot — but that doesn’t mean he can just ignore it. He must start working the phones to shore up his lineup’s star power, even if that means parting ways with some of their bigger contracts.
