BUFFALO, N.Y. — An East Aurora woman has filed a lawsuit seeking unspecified damages after being struck by a golf cart during the 2023 PGA Championship held at the Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester.
Lauren M. Lilley was attending the event as a fan on May 20, 2023 and was standing along a rope line to watch golfers when, according to her lawsuit filed in Erie County, she was struck from behind by a golf cart operated by a member of the broadcast crew for the tournament.

According to her attorneys, Lilley was pitched over rope and onto the course, suffering a host of injuries, including a concussion with loss of consciousness, a herniated disc, and injuries to her neck, shoulder and arm.
As a result, the lawsuit claims she had to have surgery and continues to suffer from pain and permanent injuries.
Named as defendants in the lawsuit are CBS Sports, CBS Broadcasting Inc., Robovision Inc., the PGA of America, PGA Tour Inc., and Oak Hill Country Club.
