A union wants to give a work from home ‘bias’ to 2m white collar workers

A major union is pushing to extend to the private sector a government-backed bias in favour of working from home in a test case expected to set the standard on remote working for the economy’s white-collar workforce.

The Community and Public Sector Union has proposed that the Fair Work Commission require employers to apply “a bias in favour of approving” requests to work remotely for employees covered by the clerks award.
