EUGENE, Ore. – A wildfire southeast of Eugene has prompted a Level 3 (GO NOW) and Level 2 (BE SET) evacuation notice for certain areas.

According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, residents in the neighborhoods from Hideaway Hills to the power lines east of Skyhawk Way from Hampton Road south to Dillard Road need to leave immediately and not take time to gather things.

Residents in the neighborhood between Dillard Road, Hidden Meadows Drive, Skyhawk Way, and Ridgetop Drive, must be prepared to leave at a moment’s notice.

Level 2 means: You must prepare to leave at a moment’s notice, and this may be the only notice that you receive.

The Sheriff’s Office emphasizes the importance of leaving quickly, driving carefully with headlights on, and following directions from public safety personnel.

Those who ignore the evacuation notice may not receive further assistance. Entry to evacuated areas will remain restricted until conditions are deemed safe.

Residents should continue to monitor local media and their phones for updates on evacuation changes and available resources. For more information, visit the Lane Alerts website.
