Eighties pop-rock icon Rick Springfield called out NBC host Craig Melvin for yawning during his Wednesday interview on the \u201c3rd Hour of Today.<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cJessie\u2019s Girl\u201d vocalist was just over 90 seconds into the live segment discussing the \u201980s hit when he noticed Melvin yawn off-camera.<\/p>\n Springfield called out \u201cToday\u201d show host Craig Melvin for yawning during Wednesday\u2019s interview. NBC<\/p>\n The Grammy-winner seemed to be distracted as he tried to continue speaking, but then he paused, turned to Melvin and asked the anchor a direct question with the cameras rolling.<\/p>\n \u201cAm I boring you?\u201d Springfield asked.<\/p>\n \u201cI actually-you\u2019re not at all,\u201d Melvin replied. \u201cI apologize.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s early, don\u2019t worry about it, I\u2019ll yawn too,\u201d Springfield joked.<\/p>\n Melvin tried to explain that he wasn\u2019t yawning and claimed \u201cit was a cough,\u201d but his response was overshadowed by laughter from his co-hosts, Al Roker and Jill Martin.<\/p>\n \u201cAm I boring you?\u201d Springfield asked Melvin during the live broadcast.
