With the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/trumps-tariff-pause-brings-little-relief-recession-risk-lingers-2025-04-11\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">exception of China<\/a>, most states have either shrugged off the higher levies imposed on their exports to the U.S. or, in the case of a handful, made concessions to negotiate a lower rate than initially threatened.
