Energy poverty and the worsening effects of climate change further compound these health threats. <\/p>\n<p>To support science-informed policymaking that protects health and promotes cleaner environments, the World Health Organization (WHO) is launching Phase 2 of its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/teams\/environment-climate-change-and-health\/air-quality-energy-and-health\/health-impacts\/health-science-and-policy-summaries\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Science and Policy Summaries (SPS) on Air Pollution, Energy Access, Climate Change, and Health<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The SPS aims to equip decision-makers with robust, accessible evidence to support solutions for clean air, clean energy, and climate-resilient health systems.<\/p>\n<p>The SPS are developed through a multistakeholder consultation process that includes experts from WHO Advisory Groups \u2013 i.e., the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/teams\/environment-climate-change-and-health\/air-quality-energy-and-health\/sdg-11-6-2-working-group\" data-sf-ec-immutable=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Scientific Advisory Group on Air Pollution and Health (SAG)<\/a>, and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/groups\/global-air-pollution-and-health---technical-advisory-group\" data-sf-ec-immutable=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Global Air Pollution and Health \u2013 Technical Advisory Group (GAPH-TAG)<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 as well as specialists from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/about\/collaboration\/collaborating-centres\" data-sf-ec-immutable=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WHO Collaborating Centres<\/a>,\u00a0UN agencies, as well as other experts from academia and civil society.<\/p>\n<p>Phase 2 focuses on the health and economic impacts of air pollution, emphasizing the burden on noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) or child health.<\/p>\n<p>Objectives of the webinar<\/p>\n<p>Present focus and findings of Phase 2 of the SPSShowcase the experience of air pollution\u2019s impactFacilitate a dynamic dialogue among health sector experts, exploring actionable solutions for air quality, energy access, and climate mitigationEncourage the uptake of SPS by health ministries, agencies, and other stakeholders for science-based policy development.<\/p>\n<p>Agenda<\/p>\n<p>Opening Remarks<br \/>WHO<\/p>\n<p>Opening Testimonial<br \/>Lisa Nahgon, 18, Cameroon<\/p>\n<p>Introduction to SPS Phase 2<br \/>Sophie Gumy, Technical Officer, Air Quality, Energy and Health, WHO<\/p>\n<p>Deep Dive on exposure and health effects<\/p>\n<p>Zorana Jovanovic Andersen, Professor of Environmental Epidemiology, University of Copenhagen &amp;
