{"id":103492,"date":"2025-08-23T04:53:13","date_gmt":"2025-08-23T04:53:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/103492\/"},"modified":"2025-08-23T04:53:13","modified_gmt":"2025-08-23T04:53:13","slug":"new-startup-joins-hudsonalpha-biotech-community","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/103492\/","title":{"rendered":"New Startup Joins HudsonAlpha Biotech Community"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hudsonalpha.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology<\/a> has added a new name to its roster of resident companies: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.veilgenomics.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Veil Genomics<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The startup, founded by HudsonAlpha geneticists Alex Harkess, PhD, Josh Clevenger, PhD, and Kendall Lee, PhD, focuses on genetic testing and informatics.<\/p>\n<p>Veil offers end-to-end services in long-read, low-pass sequencing, a technology with wide applications in human health, agriculture, biodiversity research, and defense. It becomes the latest of more than 50 independent companies operating on HudsonAlpha\u2019s biotech campus.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The idea to launch Veil emerged from a collaborative laboratory innovation between the three founders.
