{"id":103718,"date":"2025-08-23T07:17:15","date_gmt":"2025-08-23T07:17:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/103718\/"},"modified":"2025-08-23T07:17:15","modified_gmt":"2025-08-23T07:17:15","slug":"eogs-encino-energy-made-ohios-top-15-oil-wells-in-2q","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/103718\/","title":{"rendered":"EOG\u2019s Encino Energy Made Ohio\u2019s Top 15 Oil Wells in 2Q"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hartenergy.com\/companies\/eog-resources-inc\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">EOG Resources<\/a>\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hartenergy.com\/companies\/encino-energy-llc\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Encino Energy<\/a> brought on Ohio\u2019s largest new Utica Shale oil wells in the second quarter, clocking the play\u2019s top 13 wells, according to newly released Ohio state data.<\/p>\n<p>EOG, which began testing the tight Utica\u2019s oil fairway with first IPs in 2022, bought Encino on Aug. 1 for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hartenergy.com\/exclusives\/eog-buy-utica-shale-oil-producer-encino-56b-213068\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">$5.6 billion in cash<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In May 2024, it had declared the Utica\u2019s volatile oil window can \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hartenergy.com\/exclusives\/big-barrels-meet-ohios-new-utica-oil-play-209993\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">compete with the best plays<\/a> in America.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The combined operators\u2019 second-quarter Ohio oil results totaled 84,220 bbl\/d gross, with Encino contributing 68,750 bbl\/d and 15,470 bbl\/d by EOG.<\/p>\n<p>Two more Encino wells rounded out the top 15 largest second-quarter producers. Both came on in the first quarter and were already 29 days old at the start of the quarter.<\/p>\n<p>The combined 15 wells produced an average of 1,738 bbl\/d each in the second-quarter during their combined 1,260 days online, or 84 days each, according to Ohio Department of Natural Resources data.<\/p>\n<p>Among the 13 newest wells, Encino\u2019s new four-well Folsam CR HAR pad surfaced 652,896 bbl in three months.<\/p>\n<p>The largest, the #205H, made 195,194 bbl in its first 91 days.<\/p>\n<p>The other three\u2014#1H, #3H and #5H\u2014made between 137,000 bbl and 165,000 bbl.<\/p>\n<p>Encino also brought on the four-well Snyder CR UNI pad, totaling 567,201 bbl in just 71 days online, averaging 1,997 bbl\/d per each of the four wells.<\/p>\n<p>The #1H made 150,838 bbl. The other three\u2014the #205H, #3H and #5H\u2014made between 128,000 bbl and 149,000 bbl.<\/p>\n<p>The five-well Landman GY CEN pad made 672,241 bbl in its first 86 days online, averaging 1,563 bbl\/d per well.<\/p>\n<p>The two Encino wells in the top 15 that had come online in the first quarter are the Kitzmiller CL KNX #10H and #210H. Already online 29 days, they made another combined 297,465 bbl or an average of 1,634 bbl\/d each in the next 91.<\/p>\n<p>The 15 Encino wells are in Carroll, Columbiana and Guernsey counties.<\/p>\n<p>The wells also made 10.5 Bcf in their 1,260 days online combined, averaging 8.3 MMcf\/d per well.<\/p>\n<p>Gulfport, EOG, Ascent<\/p>\n<p>Rounding out the Ohio Utica\u2019s top 25 oil wells of the second quarter include 10 that came online in the first quarter.<\/p>\n<p>Operators are EOG, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hartenergy.com\/companies\/gulfport-energy-corp\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gulfport Energy<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hartenergy.com\/companies\/ascent-resources-llc\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ascent Resources<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>EOG\u2019s new five-well Rogue HWS pad made 448,847 bbl in 91 days online, averaging 986 bbl\/d per well.<\/p>\n<p>Associated gas was 1.54 Bcf or 3.4 MMcf\/d per well.<\/p>\n<p>The pad is in Harrison County in the Tippecanoe area.<\/p>\n<p>In Guernsey County, three Ascent wells online since Jan. 15 turned up with another 283,614 bbl in the second quarter, or 1,039 bbl\/d each.<\/p>\n<p>Associated gas from the trio was 1 Bcf in the 91-day period, or 3.7 MMcf\/d from the three wells: Stella SW MDS GR #4H, #6H and #2H.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"EOG Resources\u2019 Encino Energy brought on Ohio\u2019s largest new Utica Shale oil wells in the second quarter, clocking&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":103719,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[47],"tags":[192,69136,69138,79,69139,69137],"class_list":{"0":"post-103718","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-environment","8":"tag-environment","9":"tag-field-development","10":"tag-rig-counts","11":"tag-science","12":"tag-shale-plays","13":"tag-top-ip-wells"},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/103718","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=103718"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/103718\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/103719"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=103718"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=103718"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=103718"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
