Ryan Preece went after Ross Chastain during the NASCAR Cup Series regular-season finale race at Daytona on Saturday night. The NBC broadcast shared what Preece said about Chastain, who was racing for the lead.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m sure he was asking why I pulled out,\u201d Ryan Preece said. \u201cBut I\u2019m sick of following him. He doesn\u2019t know how to push, or whenever he pulls up in front of me, he doesn\u2019t know how to lead. So, I\u2019m not following him.\u201d<\/p>\n
Preece may not have liked how Ross Chastain was driving, but Chastain won Stage 2<\/a> of the Daytona race. Preece finished eighth in the stage but needs a win to clinch a playoff spot. <\/p>\n The 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season has been the strongest one for Preece. The 34-year-old has earned 10 top-10 finishes and three finishes in the top five. <\/p>\n Ryan Preece talks working with Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher<\/p>\n Earlier in the year, Preece credited NASCAR Driver and RFK Racing owner Brad Keselowski for the success he\u2019s having. \u201cI sat down with Brad a couple of weeks ago, and just, he\u2019s been somebody that\u2019s been really good to talk to about maybe some challenges that I have, or maybe some of the prep work, or how he goes about things,\u201d Preece said in May.<\/a> \u201cSo, that\u2019s been, that\u2019s been really good to be a part of and have that. I feel like we\u2019re one thing away from clicking where we can start winning races, start leading laps, start showing what we\u2019re capable of.\u201d <\/p>\n Preece also talked about his relationship with RFK teammate Chris Buescher. \u201cChris and I have always had a good relationship when we were at JTG,\u201d Preece continued. \u201cHe\u2019s somebody you know, as far as within this garage, he\u2019s somebody that I\u2019ve always been able to go to and talk to. Or even, my wife and I joked about, even before coming to RFK, I needed to be more like Chris.
