This rule helps promote a balanced diet and sustainable weight loss. <\/p>\n<p>Here are her top 10 weight loss tips that are &#8216;easy&#8217;:<\/p>\n<p>   1. Follow the 80\/20 rule<\/p>\n<p>Amaka said, \u201cEat 80 percent whole, clean foods and reserve 20 percent for your cravings, especially when you\u2019re outside. Stop trying to be perfect. But like I always emphasise, still ensure you portion them well to avoid eating in excess.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> 2. Prioritise protein<\/p>\n<p>She added, \u201cChicken, fish, eggs, beans, goat meat, Greek yoghurt bowl, etc. \u2013 load your plate with <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/lifestyle\/are-you-taking-enough-protein-common-signs-that-you-have-protein-deficiency-tips-to-fix-101731854147698.html#:~:text=It%20is%20important%20that%20we,from%20the%20food%20we%20take.\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"protein\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">protein<\/a> because it will keep you full, and it also kills those random cravings, then pair it with veggies and a little complex carbs, and make fat loss easier.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> 3. Cut liquid calories<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJuices, sodas, some high-calorie sugar-packed smoothies \u2013 they sneak in 300\u2013500 calories without you noticing and still leave you feeling hungry in a few hours,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p> 4. Walk every single day<\/p>\n<p>As per Amaka, <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/lifestyle\/health\/struggling-to-complete-10k-step-target-fitness-coach-shares-5-tips-to-walk-10000-steps-every-single-day-without-fail-101755512740102.html\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"10K steps daily\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">10K steps daily <\/a>is a &#8216;game-changer&#8217;. \u201cWalking burns fat without burning you out. It&#8217;s a low-impact exercise that melts fat easily,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p> 5. Sleep 7\u20138 hours<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI used to sleep 4\u20135 hours and wonder why I was always hungry, super tired and unmotivated to exercise. Now I get 7\u20138 hours and my cravings are way easier to manage, I always mash my exercise and burn more calories, hardly ever snack, and I stay focused throughout the day,\u201d Amaka said.<\/p>\n<p> 6. Strength train 3 times a week<\/p>\n<p>She added: \u201cDon\u2019t just rely on cardio. Incorporate 2\u20133 <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/lifestyle\/health\/only-lifting-for-strength-training-check-these-4-exercises-without-weights-101743073550169.html\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"strength workouts\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">strength workouts<\/a> weekly, if you want to get toned and lean in the right way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> 7. Stop pausing your weight loss journey over the weekend<\/p>\n<p>She also said, \u201cPersonally, I\u2019d eat healthy Monday\u2013Friday, then destroy it all on Saturday and Sunday. But, once I stopped those &#8216;cheat weekends&#8217;, the weight started dropping consistently.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> 8. Plan your meals ahead<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you don\u2019t plan, cravings will always win. Meal prep helps for ease. If it\u2019s prepping your proteins ahead, it will help reduce the time spent preparing your meals. Honestly, meal prep stops you from cheating, and it helps you stay more focused to see results,\u201d Amaka said.<\/p>\n<p> 9. Stay consistent, not perfect<\/p>\n<p>She said, \u201cI wasn\u2019t perfect every day, but I showed up most days. And honestly, that\u2019s what matters. Don\u2019t strive to be perfect; just show up daily and keep pushing. The results will truly show in time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> 10. Track more than just the scale<\/p>\n<p>She concluded, \u201cInstead of stepping on the scale, take these measurements instead of your waist, your arms, your chest, your hips, and your legs, and compare every 1-2 weeks. Take pictures and compare. Check how your clothes fit. Even notice my energy.
