Micron, for now the only U.S. maker of memory chips crucial to artificial intelligence, cell phones and other technology on which modern life depends, has posted record sales in the past few quarters. Its stock price has soared more than 40% in 2025. And it started producing high bandwidth chips early last year for Nvidia<\/a>, the world\u2019s most valuable company and the leader in the artificial intelligence race.<\/p>\n Syracuse football head coach Fran Brown said that he tabbed Steve Angeli the Orange\u2019s starting quarterback because he believes the Notre Dame transfer held advantages over Rickie Collins in how to \u201crun the operation\u201d and in game experience<\/a>. \u201cI mean it was extremely hard,\u201d Brown said. \u201cI was up a long time just trying to figure this out. They have become a worldwide phenomenon synonymous with sun, sand, and the carefree lifestyle of Southern California surfing culture. A group based in Central New York has a reputation as one of the most active fleets<\/a> in the Hobie Class Association of North America.<\/p>\n Police officers saved two residents from a massive fire<\/a> that broke out in a Baldwinsville apartment building in January. It took fire crews nine hours to put out the fire that caused the roof of the building to cave in. The officers, who were honored by the Onondaga County District Attorney\u2019s Office and their own department for saving the man and woman, recently talked with syracuse.com about that night. This story is also based on body camera videos from that night.<\/p>\n A Republican state lawmaker who retired from the Army to become a farmer plans to launch a campaign to unseat Rep. John Mannion<\/a> in the 22nd Congressional District. Assemblyman John Lemondes told syracuse.com that he will seek election to the House seat next year rather than make a bid for a fourth term in the 126th Assembly District. Lemondes is a strong supporter of President Donald Trump and his policies.<\/p>\n An Oswego man was getting home from work when his wife told him a car just went into the nearby river. Joshua R. Blackwell dropped his stuff and ran toward the Oswego River. He went down a steep embankment and jumped into the water with his work clothes on. He saw the car sink and he knew the driver was trapped.
