If you’re a mom, you know that enjoying a snack alone doesn’t happen very often. Usually, the kids are right beside you begging for a piece of whatever you’ve got. Apparently, it’s the same for animal moms too as you’ll see in this video Wildlife Rescuers shared on TikTok recently.<\/p>\n
The video starts with the mama elephant enjoying a piece of sugar cane. The baby quickly sees that it’s a treat and tries to grab it from mom. Instead of fighting about it, Mom breaks off a small piece for her little one to enjoy. The whole thing is so relatable to parents everywhere!<\/p>\n

I went to the bathroom the other day and saw my cat (who just had a kitten<\/a>) hiding in the bathtub and I said ‘Lol same. Elephants eat a lot of tree bark because it aids in their digestion. They also will eat weeds, leaves, grass, and twigs.<\/p>\n Elephants love eating wild fruit<\/a> and it’s like hitting the jackpot when they find it. Figs, mangoes, and crabapples are all favorites. Sugar cane is also a favorite, and it’s good for them; it’s nutritious and considered a high-energy food.<\/p>\n And here’s a weird, fun fact that you may not know: elephants eat dirt! American Tarantula and Animals<\/a> explained, “Elephants dig up dirt to obtain salts and minerals from the ground. They use their tusks<\/a> to churn (stir) the ground, then place the loose pieces of soil into their mouths. This behavior is shared among all species of elephants.
