TETON VILLAGE, Wyo. \u2014\u00a0Whoopsie.<\/p>\n

Tram operations at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort were temporarily paused on Monday, July 14, when a guest discharged some bear spray onboard.<\/p>\n

According to the incident report, at about 3:30 p.m., a guest\u2019s bear spray canister \u201caccidentally discharged while the tram was departing the dock.\u201d The tram returned to the dock to offload its passengers. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe affected tram car underwent a thorough cleaning and has since been returned to service,\u201d the report reads. \u201cIt has been confirmed that this was not a full discharge of the canister.\u201d<\/p>\n

No one was harmed in this incident, according to the resort. Last summer, a rogue bear spray cloud cleared the dance floor<\/a> at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. <\/p>\n

All of Teton County is bear country, so carrying bear spray in the summer is the right move. Just remember to leave the safety engaged when possible. See the National Park Service\u2019s website for bear spray guidance<\/a>. <\/p>\n
