Devon Walker announced Monday that he\u2019s leaving \u201cSaturday Night Live<\/a>\u201d after three seasons, two as a featured player and another as a cast member.<\/p>\n

The comedian \u2014 in an Instagram carousel<\/a> captioned \u201cme and baby broke up \u2764\ufe0f\u201d \u2014 included a note titled \u201cwait..did he quit or did he get fired?\u201d where he shared mixed feelings about the exit.<\/p>\n

\u201cMe and the show did three years together, and sometimes it was really cool. Sometimes it was toxic as hell,\u201d wrote Walker, whose note did not mention whether he left the show on his own terms.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut we did what we made the most of what it was, even amidst all of the dysfunction. We made a fucked up lil family.\u201d<\/p>\n

The post includes a screenshot of an \u201cI\u2019m out \ud83e\udd73\u201d text as well as a snap of Walker with former \u201cSNL<\/a>\u201d writers Gary Richardson and Alex English, the latter of whom announced that he was \u201crelieved\u201d of his duties<\/a> on the show last August.<\/p>\n

The group hosted the DAD comedy show at New York City\u2019s Jane Hotel, which Walker referenced in his note.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the note, he described jobs in his industry as \u201ca bunch of little marriages.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSome of em last for a long time if we\u2019re lucky, but most of them are fleeting,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\u201cPermanent until they\u2019re not. That\u2019s the deal. You know what it is it when you sign up.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a later update to his Instagram story, Walker \u2014 who is currently on his \u201cSmiling Thru It All!<\/a>\u201d standup tour \u2014 described the exit as \u201cgood news\u201d and said it was simply time to \u201cdo something different.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPlease don\u2019t be hitting me with the \u2018im so sorry\u2019 we not on that at ALL. sometimes mom and dad just don\u2019t see things eye to eye,\u201d wrote Walker, who added that he\u2019ll discuss the exit on his \u201cMy Favorite Lyrics\u201d podcast soon.<\/p>\n

Representatives for \u201cSNL\u201d did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Walker\u2019s departure.<\/p>\n

Walker\u2019s post arrived the same day that Celeste Yim<\/a>, the show\u2019s first writer to identify as nonbinary and first out trans writer, and writer Rosebud Baker<\/a> announced their departures.<\/p>\n

\u201cSNL\u201d creator Lorne Michaels, in an interview shared by Puck<\/a> on Friday, said there would be a \u201csignificant shake-up\u201d at the show with \u201cseveral\u201d cast members expected to leave.<\/p>\n
