Professional golfer Tommy Fleetwood and his wife, Clare Fleetwood, are open about their 23-year age gap.<\/p>\n

They’ve weighed<\/a> in on a podcast about it, and Tommy, 34, has posted photos showing his wife and their son, Franklin, on his social media accounts.<\/p>\n

The couple has not hesitated to defend their relationship, in short, but on August 24, when Tommy scored his first win<\/a> on the PGA Tour in the PGA Tour Championship, his wife was nowhere to be seen.<\/p>\n

The New York Post reported<\/a> that Clare was absent for his big $10 million “breakthrough” win.<\/p>\n

Although she wasn’t there, Clare’s son from a previous relationship did attend and was photographed with Tommy, according to Page Six.<\/a> In fact, according to that site, they “jointly held up” the FedEx Cup after Tommy won and embraced at one point.<\/p>\n

Tommy’s rep didn’t respond to Page Six’s request for comment about Clare’s absence, which remains unexplained. The couple has been married since 2017, and Clare has also worked as Tommy’s agent, according to Page Six. Clare hasn’t posted<\/a> on her X page for several years.<\/p>\n

The profile reads, “Mama to Oscar, Mo and Frankie. Wife and agent to Tommy. My family are everything to me.” She was at his side in April.<\/p>\n

Clare said <\/a>on the Performance People podcast in 2023 that she was self-conscious about people’s opinions on their major age gap early on, but things got better. According to the Post, she worked with his brother when they met.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was kind of not actually for us, but it was just again thinking what other people are thinking about all the time and within the industry,” she said on the podcast. “It was kind of big news in our circle, so I was a little bit paranoid about all that, really. But not for any reason of our relationship, and I had full faith once we fell in love.\u201d<\/p>\n
