{"id":114276,"date":"2025-08-27T17:47:08","date_gmt":"2025-08-27T17:47:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/114276\/"},"modified":"2025-08-27T17:47:08","modified_gmt":"2025-08-27T17:47:08","slug":"youtube-tv-users-may-lose-access-to-college-football-games-on-fox-including-ut-ohio-state","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/114276\/","title":{"rendered":"YouTube TV users may lose access to college football games on Fox, including UT-Ohio State"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Fox channels could soon be pulled from YouTube TV if the two sides don\u2019t strike a deal by Wednesday afternoon, potentially leaving subscribers without access to some Week 1 college football games and other content.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">The current agreement between Youtube TV and Fox is set to expire, and a new deal must be reached by 4 p.m. CT or Fox channels like Fox Sports, FS1 and Big Ten Network will be unavailable. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Fox, FS1 and Big Ten Network are carrying 16 Week 1 college football games this weekend, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/sports\/texas-longhorns\/2025\/08\/26\/why-no-1-texas-season-opening-showdown-with-no-3-ohio-state-could-be-historic\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/sports\/texas-longhorns\/2025\/08\/26\/why-no-1-texas-season-opening-showdown-with-no-3-ohio-state-could-be-historic\/\">a top-five showdown between No. 1 Texas and No. 3 Ohio State<\/a> at 11 a.m. Saturday and a primetime matchup between Auburn and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/sports\/baylor-bears\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/sports\/baylor-bears\/\">Baylor<\/a> at 7 p.m. Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Google-owned YouTube said in <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.youtube\/inside-youtube\/an-update-on-our-partnership-with-fox-team-youtube\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/blog.youtube\/inside-youtube\/an-update-on-our-partnership-with-fox-team-youtube\/\">a blog post Monday<\/a> that Fox was \u201casking for payments that are far higher than what partners with comparable content offerings receive\u201d and that its priority is to reach a deal that is \u201cfair for both sides without passing on additional costs to our subscribers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Texas College Sports<\/p>\n<p class=\"dmnc_features-cta-social-article-cta-social-module__3beff secondaryRoman secondaryRoman-20 text-center text-gray-dark\">Get the latest college sports news, scores and analysis.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dmnc_features-cta-social-article-cta-social-module__8MgJa flex flex-wrap text-gray-dark secondaryRoman secondaryRoman-20 text-center justify-center\">By signing up, you agree to our\u00a0<a class=\"dmnc_features-cta-social-article-cta-social-module__lU9-l border-b border-gray-dark hover_border-0 focus_border-0 active_border-0\" href=\"https:\/\/sportsday.dallasnews.com\/help\/terms-of-service\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Terms of Service<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a class=\"dmnc_features-cta-social-article-cta-social-module__lU9-l border-b border-gray-dark hover_border-0 focus_border-0 active_border-0\" href=\"https:\/\/sportsday.dallasnews.com\/help\/privacy-policy\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Privacy Policy.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">YouTube also added that if Fox content becomes unavailable on YouTube TV for \u201can extended period of time,\u201d members will receive a $10 credit.
