Kelly Ayotte to Wave Green Flag for First-Ever NASCAR Hauler Parade Through Downtown Concord | News | Media"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhms.com\/events\/nascar-cup-series\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">New England\u2019s only NASCAR Playoffs weekend<\/a> is set for Sept. 19-21 at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhms.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">New Hampshire Motor Speedway<\/a> (NHMS), and to kick things off in a big way, for the first time ever, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nascar.com\/news\/nascar-cup-series\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NASCAR Cup Series<\/a> (NCS) haulers will parade through downtown Concord, N.H. Fans are encouraged to line Main Street as the haulers pass through at approximately 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19. In front of the New Hampshire State Capitol Building, New Hampshire Gov. Kelly Ayotte will wave the green flag to officially mark the start of the Granite State\u2019s biggest event weekend.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur state is proud to host race fans from around the world every year for the NASCAR Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway,\u201d said N.H. Gov. Kelly Ayotte. \u201cI\u2019m thrilled to bring the race-day excitement to Concord with this year\u2019s hauler parade right outside our State House. Looking forward to welcoming everyone to the Granite State for an exciting NASCAR weekend!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Approximately 40 brightly colored, 18-wheeled NCS haulers will be led by the NHMS Toyota Camry XSE pace car and receive a N.H. State Police escort as they drive north on Main Street from Hills Avenue to Loudon Road before making their way onto 393 East and then Route 106 North heading for NHMS. All trucks will stage in the Steeplegate Mall parking lot along Loudon Road in Concord earlier in the day.<\/p>\n<p>The haulers will proceed to the North Entrance at NHMS and make their way through the campgrounds before entering the infield tunnel to their garage stalls. A much-anticipated convoy, the hauler parade is a great way for NASCAR fans to get excited about the action-packed weekend that awaits them Sept. 19-21.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur campground hauler parade has been a fan-favorite each year, as it marks the official start to the race weekend,\u201d said New Hampshire Motor Speedway Executive Vice President and General Manager David McGrath. \u201cThis year, we\u2019re stealing a page out of Barnum and Bailey\u2019s handbook and parading the rigs right through the State Capitol on their way to the speedway. We\u2019re going to loudly let everyone know the NASCAR Playoffs have arrived in New Hampshire!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On-track action kicks off Friday with practice and qualifying sessions for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nascar.com\/whelen-modified-tour\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour<\/a> (NWMT) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nascar.com\/news\/nascar-craftsman-truck-series\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series<\/a> (NCTS) plus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhms.com\/events\/dirt-duels\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">SIG SAUER Academy Dirt Duels<\/a> at The Flat Track. The action continues on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhms.com\/events\/doubleheader-saturday\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Doubleheader Saturday<\/a> with the Mohegan Sun 100 NWMT race, the Team EJP 175 NCTS Playoffs race and NCS practice and qualifying. The on-track action culminates Sunday with the NCS taking on \u201cThe Magic Mile\u201d to kick off the Round of 12.
