The 12-month immersive experience includes dedicated access to IBM\u2019s Quantum System One at Cleveland Clinic\u2019s main campus, the first quantum computer dedicated to healthcare and life sciences research.<\/p>\n<p data-identity=\"paragraph-element\" class=\"text-gray-800 my-rem16px text-rem19px leading-rem34px  \">Up to four\u00a0companies will be selected through a competitive application process. The winning companies will have an opportunity to receive an investment of up to $250,000 from K5 Tokyo Black Fund with an in-kind match from Cleveland Clinic. The program also includes:<\/p>\n<p>Access to IBM Quantum System to support their researchOperating space on Cleveland Clinic\u2019s main campusOpportunities to explore research ideas and projectsEducational offeringsAdvanced business networking<\/p>\n<p data-identity=\"paragraph-element\" class=\"text-gray-800 my-rem16px text-rem19px leading-rem34px  \">In addition, the companies will have the ability to collaborate and consult with researchers from the <a data-identity=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/my.clevelandclinic.org\/research\/computational-life-sciences\/discovery-accelerator\/education-outreach\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"text-brandBlue-500 underline underline-offset-[5px] decoration-1 break-words hover:text-blue-800 transition\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Cleveland Clinic-IBM Discovery Accelerator<\/a> team as part of Cleveland Clinic\u2019s and IBM\u2019s 10-year partnership aimed at advancing biomedical research through pioneering applications of quantum and advanced computing.<\/p>\n<p data-identity=\"paragraph-element\" class=\"text-gray-800 my-rem16px text-rem19px leading-rem34px  \">The inaugural class of Cleveland Clinic\u2019s Quantum Innovation Catalyzer Program included Ohio-based Qradle and Finland-based Algorithmiq.<\/p>\n<p data-identity=\"paragraph-element\" class=\"text-gray-800 my-rem16px text-rem19px leading-rem34px  \"><a data-identity=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/algorithmiq.fi\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"text-brandBlue-500 underline underline-offset-[5px] decoration-1 break-words hover:text-blue-800 transition\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Algorithmiq<\/a>\u00a0led a project in collaboration with Cleveland Clinic and IBM Quantum to create a set of computational tools that aim to explore how quantum computing could assist in the development of photon-activated drugs for cancer. The project is now one of six finalists remaining in the third and last phase of\u00a0<a data-identity=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.clevelandclinic.org\/2023\/10\/24\/cleveland-clinic-selected-by-wellcome-leap-for-two-quantum-computing-research-projects\" class=\"text-brandBlue-500 underline underline-offset-[5px] decoration-1 break-words hover:text-blue-800 transition\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wellcome Leap\u2019s Quantum for Bio Challenge<\/a>, a global challenge where hundreds of applications competed to accelerate the development of quantum computing applications for healthcare.<\/p>\n<p data-identity=\"paragraph-element\" class=\"text-gray-800 my-rem16px text-rem19px leading-rem34px  \">Researchers from\u00a0<a data-identity=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/qradleinc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"text-brandBlue-500 underline underline-offset-[5px] decoration-1 break-words hover:text-blue-800 transition\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Qradle Inc.<\/a>, collaborated with Cleveland Clinic\u00a0on work using a quantum computer to predict protein folding structures.
