{"id":11700,"date":"2025-07-15T13:14:05","date_gmt":"2025-07-15T13:14:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/11700\/"},"modified":"2025-07-15T13:14:05","modified_gmt":"2025-07-15T13:14:05","slug":"the-atp-player-most-likely-to-challenge-jannik-sinner-and-carlos-alcaraz-has-been-named-by-john-isner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/11700\/","title":{"rendered":"The ATP player most likely to challenge Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz has been named by John Isner"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz remain the players to beat in men\u2019s tennis, having won each of the last seven Grand Slam titles.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/opinion\/why-jannik-sinner-winning-wimbledon-is-a-great-thing-for-tennis\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sinner winning Wimbledon is a positive for tennis<\/a>, although the continued dominance of him and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/carlos-alcaraz\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alcaraz<\/a> may not be.<\/p>\n<p>They have played out the last two Grand Slam finals, and occupy the top two spots in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/atp\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ATP Tour<\/a> rankings, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/jannik-sinner\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sinner<\/a> at number one.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/rafael-nadal-sends-message-to-both-jannik-sinner-and-carlos-alcaraz-after-their-wimbledon-final-finishes\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rafael Nadal congratulated Alcaraz and Sinner<\/a> after their Wimbledon battle, which arrived just over a month after their French Open final clash.<\/p>\n<p>Novak Djokovic is the last player outside of the pair to win a Grand Slam, having triumphed at the US Open in 2023.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"657\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/GettyImages-2224931363-1024x657.jpg\" alt=\"Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz pose with their trophies after the 2025 Wimbledon final\" class=\"wp-image-111861\" \/>Photo by Julian Finney\/Getty ImagesJannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz most likely challenger named<\/p>\n<p>And their next rival has now been discussed by former professionals <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/john-isner\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">John Isner<\/a> and Jack Sock on the Nothing Major Show.<\/p>\n<p>Offering his most likely player to challenge Sinner and Alcaraz, Isner commented: \u201cI am going to say <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/taylor-fritz\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Taylor Fritz<\/a>. I think he is the one guy who has the best chance. I would give Fritz an edge over Ben for sure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaybe I would throw an [Alexander] Zverev in with a new potential team around him and potentially some new energy and new motivation out there.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf he is serving as well as he can and playing well on one of these US Opens, Centre Court or Australia. Who is going to beat both of these guys back-to-back in a tournament?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho is going to beat one in the semis and the other in the final? You need somebody to help you out. But I really don\u2019t know if there is a guy who can beat both of them back-to-back in the semis and final.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s going to be the biggest hurdle to climb, so you are going to need some help.
