According to a new report, Google\u2019s Pixel Watch 4 will get a bigger battery and even faster charging, despite offering a similar overall package.<\/p>\n
To date, we\u2019ve not heard a ton about the Pixel Watch 4 series. Renders surfaced back in April<\/a> with the same design as the existing Pixel Watch 3, though a different charging setup than the existing device as there were no visible pin connections, plus there were two additional cutouts on the chassis. More recently, another leak detailed<\/a> case colors and band colors.<\/p>\n Now, we\u2019re getting some more information on what\u2019s changing with the watch.<\/p>\n Android Authority<\/a> cites a \u201csource inside Google\u201d with some details about the Pixel Watch 4 series. As implied by the fact that there is newer Snapdragon chip available (yet<\/a>), the report says that, yes, the same Snapdragon W5 chip is being used for the third time in a row. But, far more interestingly, Google is making some changes in the battery department.<\/p>\n \tAdvertisement – scroll for more content<\/p>\n Both the 41mm and 45mm sizes of Pixel Watch 4 will apparently get a non-neglible battery boost. The 41mm size will jump from Watch 3\u2019s 307 mAh up to 327 mAh, a boost of roughly 7%. Meanwhile, the 45mm sizes jumps from 420 mAh on last year\u2019s model to 459 mAh, a jump of roughly 9%. This is great news on both models, but especially the smaller model which has had almost the same size battery since 2022\u2019s first generation release. That first generation weighed in at 294 mAh, just 13 mAh less than today\u2019s Pixel Watch 3.
