\n\tHBO has released a first look at Nick Frost<\/a> as Hogwarts gamekeeper Rubeus Hagrid (below).<\/p>\n

\n\tThe move comes a day after the production released a first look at Dominic McLaughlin<\/a> as young Harry Potter<\/a> and announced a few more castmembers playing key roles: Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom,\u00a0Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander.<\/p>\n

\n\tHere\u2019s Frost (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) as the half-giant Hagrid: <\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t\t\t\"\"<\/p>\n

\n\tThe show has begun filming at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, U.K.<\/p>\n

\n\tHBO\u2019s plan is to adapt each of J.K. Rowling<\/a>\u2019s global best-selling novels into a season of television.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe project has previously announced<\/a> actors for nearly all of the key characters in Rowling\u2019s first book,\u00a0Harry Potter and the Sorcerer\u2019s Stone:<\/p>\n

\n\tEmmy winner John Lithgow (Conclave) takes on the critical role of Hogwarts\u2019 wise and warm Headmaster Albus Dumbledore.<\/p>\n

\n\tOscar nominee Janet McTeer (Ozark) has the role of stern Transfiguration Professor Minerva McGonagall.<\/p>\n

\n\tPaapa Essiedu (Black Mirror) will take on the role of the sneering Potions Professor Severus Snape.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe core kids\u2019 cast <\/a>feature McLaughlin\u00a0as Harry Potter,\u00a0Arabella Stanton\u00a0as Hermione Granger and\u00a0Alastair Stout\u00a0as Ron Weasley.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe cast also includes Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy, Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy, Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown, Bel Powley as Petunia Dursley, Daniel Rigby as Vernon Dursley and Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Fudge.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition, stage actor Luke Thallon will play Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor Quirinus Quirrell and Paul Whitehouse (Harry & Paul) has been cast as the curmudgeonly caretaker Argus Filch.<\/p>\n

\n\tFrancesca Gardiner is showrunner and executive producer, and Mark Mylod is the director of multiple episodes and executive producer.
