Former Manchester United winger Gordon Hill has expressed his view on one of the club\u2019s outgoing players.<\/p>\n

Manchester United<\/a> went into the summer transfer window wanting to move on several players, in the hope of generating funds for extra signings.<\/p>\n

It didn\u2019t quite go to plan because United are still trying ahead of the transfer deadline on Monday.<\/p>\n

Marcus Rashford<\/a> secured a loan move to Barcelona earlier in the summer, but other than that, there was a lack of movement in terms of outgoings.<\/p>\n

A lot of players have rediscovered that the crushing expectations at Old Trafford<\/a> are just too much for them to handle.<\/p>\n

United are still trying to move on players like Antony<\/a>, Jadon Sancho<\/a> and Tyrell Malacia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rasmus Hojlund<\/a> has struggled to score goals since joining United from Atalanta two years ago.<\/p>\n

The signing of Benjamin Sesko<\/a> from RB Leipzig only pushed Hojlund down the pecking order.<\/p>\n

To make matters worse for Hojlund, the 22-year-old has not featured in any matchday squad since the season began.<\/p>\n

Napoli has now reached an agreement with United to sign Hojlund on loan, with the option to become permanent. The Serie A champions will be obligated to sign Hojlund if they secure Champions League<\/a> qualification, which is an achievable milestone for Antonio Conte\u2019s<\/a> side.<\/p>\n

One former player unhappy with the deal is Gordon Hill<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hill, who made 126 appearances for United between 1975 and 1998, claimed the deal was an example of \u2018bad\u2019 business.<\/p>\n

The former United winger argued that Hojlund could have been developed into a better player at the club, rather than being moved on just two years after moving to Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

Hill\u2019s argument applies to Kobbie Mainoo<\/p>\n

The future of Kobbie Mainoo is also up in the air.<\/p>\n

Despite being overlooked in the first two Premier League<\/a> games of the season, Amorim stresses that he wants to keep Mainoo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mainoo wants to go on loan<\/a> in search of regular football, but Amorim\u2019s recent comments suggest he is going nowhere.<\/p>\n

Hill\u2019s comments regarding development could also apply to Mainoo. The 20-year-old has time on his side and plenty of ability.<\/p>\n

It would be a costly blow if United decided to give up on the academy graduate.<\/p>\n
