(WIBW) &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wibw.com\/2025\/08\/24\/kansas-takes-down-fresno-state-first-game-newly-renovated-booth-stadium\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wibw.com\/2025\/08\/24\/kansas-takes-down-fresno-state-first-game-newly-renovated-booth-stadium\/\">Kansas football<\/a> racked up over 600 total yards in a dominant 46-7 victory over Wagner on Friday night.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Hayden High School alum DeShawn Hanika got the Jayhawks on the board first with a 4-yard touchdown reception in the opening quarter. Quarterback <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wibw.com\/2025\/08\/25\/ku-offensive-line-jalon-daniels-claim-big-12-week-0-honors\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wibw.com\/2025\/08\/25\/ku-offensive-line-jalon-daniels-claim-big-12-week-0-honors\/\">Jalon Daniels<\/a> had a stellar performance, tossing four touchdowns and finishing 18-of-25 for 280 yards, along with an interception.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Backup quarterbacks Cole Ballard and Isaiah Marshall each saw action in the second half, getting time under center in the third and fourth quarters.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Alabama transfer Emmanuel Henderson led the receiving corps with two touchdowns, including a spectacular 62-yard score to start the second half. Ball State transfer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wibw.com\/2025\/08\/25\/ku-wide-receiver-named-east-west-shrine-bowl-breakout-offensive-player-week\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wibw.com\/2025\/08\/25\/ku-wide-receiver-named-east-west-shrine-bowl-breakout-offensive-player-week\/\">Cam Pickett<\/a> added this third TD reception too.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Running back <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wibw.com\/2025\/08\/05\/two-ku-running-backs-named-doak-walker-preseason-watch-list\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wibw.com\/2025\/08\/05\/two-ku-running-backs-named-doak-walker-preseason-watch-list\/\">Daniel Hishaw<\/a> added his first touchdown of the season, breaking loose for a 20-yard run in the second quarter. Harry Stewart III put the finishing touches on the Seahawks with a 1-yard TD run in the fourth. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">With the win, Kansas improves to 2-0, while Wagner falls to 0-1.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Next up for the Jayhawks is a trip to Columbia, Missouri, on Saturday, September 6, where they\u2019ll renew the StorageMart Border Showdown against the Tigers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2025 WIBW.
