The challenge is compounded by limited public awareness, which often leads to late diagnosis and a lack of support for affected individuals and their families.

The institute’s 50th-anniversary celebration is a poignant reminder of the strides made in patient care and research, but also a call to action.

As Dr. Kuma noted, “Together, we can build a future where every child born with sickle cell disease receives the best possible care, and where no life is limited by their condition.”

DISCLAIMER: The Views, Comments, Opinions, Contributions and Statements made by Readers and Contributors on this platform do not necessarily represent the views or policy of Multimedia Group Limited.

DISCLAIMER: The Views, Comments, Opinions, Contributions and Statements made by Readers and Contributors on this platform do not necessarily represent the views or policy of Multimedia Group Limited.

Dr. Ammah Benneh-Akwasi Kuma, the Director of the Ghana Institute of Clinical Genetics, has called for a collective…

[50
200,79
post-120169","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-genetics","tag-genetics","tag-science
["GET
