STATE COLLEGE \u2014 Nevada<\/a> coach Jeff Choate knew his Wolf Pack would be overmatched on Saturday at Beaver Stadium. And, they were. Still, the second-year leader of the Mountain West program was proud of the way his players battled in a 46-11 loss at Penn State.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was an outstanding win for the Penn State football team,\u201d Choate said<\/a> after the game. \u201cThey were a really challenging opponent. With the movements, stuff they do, and multiple formations, they are a good football team. I was proud of our defense. We put them in a lot of tough situations today to get some stops and get those field goals. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe game had started a lot like how we wanted it to start where we got a couple first downs and then we\u2019re moving the ball and possessing the ball. The turnovers obviously really hurt us but regardless they\u2019re an outstanding team and really deserving. They\u2019ll probably be number one next week. So, I\u2019m excited for us to get back home next week.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nevada hurt itself by committing multiple turnovers. And, they did not find the end zone until the game\u2019s final minute.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we played with class,\u201d Choate said. \u201cWe really appreciate how our guys came out and competed hard. There was a lot of back and forth. I wish we could\u2019ve come onto the football a little better. I think that could result in some better scores.\u201d<\/p>\n
