Stuart Smith \u2014 better known as Syko Stu \u2014 is out of the hospital following the beating he took at the hands of Raja Jackson<\/a>, the son of former MMA star Quinton \u201cRampage\u201d Jackson, during a professional wrestling event last month.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Smith posted an update on his social media accounts on Sunday about his release from the hospital, where he had been since Jackson had slammed Smith to the mat of a KnokX Pro Wrestling event in California and pummeled him while he lay on the ground \u2014 before other wrestlers eventually came and pulled Jackson off him.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cStuart has been released from the hospital and is now home resting,\u201d the posted statement read<\/a>. \u201cHe sustained a serious head injury and was unconscious upon arrival at the ER. His injuries include trauma to both the upper and lower jaws, a laceration to his upper lip, and a fracture to the maxilla bone, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of several teeth.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s believed that the incident stemmed from a run-in that Jackson and Smith had outside the event when Smith slammed a beer over Smith\u2019s head, according to video posted online at the time.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Another video showed the two seeming to make peace as Smith appeared to apologize.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The LAPD is investigating <\/a>the incident and officers had been called to the scene at the time.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As part of a statement, KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy, which was putting on the event, condemned Jackson\u2019s action in a statement following the incident.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat was supposed to be a planned and agreed upon wrestling spot turned into a selfish, irresponsible act of violence against Mr. Smith. This egregious act is reprehensible and never should have occurred.
