A 2025 PYMNTS Intelligence <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pymnts.com\/study_posts\/since-march-triple-the-cfos-report-very-positive-roi-from-genai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">report<\/a> shows that 9 in 10 chief financial officers (CFOs) see \u201cvery positive ROI\u201d from generative AI. That\u2019s up substantially from 26.7% in March 2024.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWith gen AI yielding such strong results, CFOs are utilizing the technology in more areas of their businesses,\u201d the report said. These include using the technology for high-, medium- and low-impact tasks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cloud providers are some of the clearest beneficiaries of this demand. According to Statista, cloud infrastructure service revenues are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/chart\/18819\/worldwide-market-share-of-leading-cloud-infrastructure-service-providers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">expected<\/a> to exceed $400 billion for the first time. Cloud market has re-accelerated in recent quarters, mainly due to the AI boom, the research firm said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Consider the following:<\/p>\n<p>CoreWeave, as a purely AI cloud provider, <a href=\"https:\/\/investors.coreweave.com\/news\/news-details\/2025\/CoreWeave-Reports-Strong-Second-Quarter-2025-Results\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">posted<\/a> Q2 revenue that more than tripled to a record $1.21\u202fbillion from $395\u202fmillion a year earlier. It\u2019s a reflection of accelerating demand for its GPU\u2011powered AI cloud services, though soaring operating expenses led to a net loss.<br \/>\nMicrosoft <a href=\"https:\/\/news.microsoft.com\/source\/2025\/07\/30\/microsoft-cloud-and-ai-strength-fuels-fourth-quarter-results\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">recorded<\/a> a 39% year\u2011over\u2011year gain in Azure and other cloud services revenue in its fiscal fourth quarter. Its Intelligent Cloud segment posted $29.9\u202fbillion in revenue, up 26%. For the year, Azure surpassed $75\u202fbillion in revenue, up 34% largely due to AI workloads.<br \/>\nGoogle Cloud saw Q2 revenue rise by 32% to $13.6\u202fbillion compared to the prior year. Operating income for cloud soared 133% to $2.8\u202fbillion. Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai <a href=\"https:\/\/abc.xyz\/assets\/cc\/27\/3ada14014efbadd7a58472f1f3f4\/2025q2-alphabet-earnings-release.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">said<\/a> the company raised its capex to $85 billion in 2025 due to \u201cstrong and growing demand\u201d for cloud services.<br \/>\nAWS <a href=\"https:\/\/ir.aboutamazon.com\/news-release\/news-release-details\/2025\/Amazon-com-Announces-Second-Quarter-Results\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">posted<\/a> $30.9\u202fbillion in cloud revenue in Q2, up 17% from a year ago. Operating income rose 10% to $10.2\u202fbillion. Its backlog grew to $195 billion, up 25% year\u2011over\u2011year, prompting CEO Andy Jassy to <a href=\"https:\/\/seekingalpha.com\/article\/4807281-amazon-com-inc-amzn-q2-2025-earnings-call-transcript\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">caution<\/a> that capacity constraints may limit near\u2011term growth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Semiconductor companies supplying GPUs and networking chips to hyperscalers are seeing explosive gains. Nvidia, the most valuable company in the world and whose chips command the lion\u2019s share in powering AI workloads, reported record data center revenue of $39.1 billion in its fiscal Q1, up 73% from a year ago.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AMD\u2019s Q2 revenue <a href=\"https:\/\/ir.amd.com\/news-events\/press-releases\/detail\/1257\/amd-reports-second-quarter-2025-financial-results\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">rose<\/a> by 32% year over year to $7.7 billion, with its data center segment taking up $3.2 billion of the total, up 14% from a year ago due to \u201cstrong demand\u201d for its EPYC processors and growing interest in AI platforms. The company just earned an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barrons.com\/articles\/snowflake-stock-upgrade-analyst-ai-7baeab50\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">upgrade<\/a> from BofA due to strong customer demand tied to AI investments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Databricks, Snowflake\u2019s rival, is also in high gear. The company said it is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/databricks-is-raising-a-series-k-investment-at-100-billion-valuation-302533130.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">raising funds<\/a> that would value it at $100 billion. It plans to use the funds to accelerate its AI strategy as well as for future AI acquisitions and deepen AI research. Databricks CEO Ali Ghodsi said there is \u201ctremendous interest because of the momentum behind our AI products.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In servers, Dell has emerged as a standout beneficiary of AI-fueled demand. Its Q1 fiscal 2026 Infrastructure Solutions Group \u2014 which includes servers and networking \u2014 posted record revenue of $6.3 billion. In the quarter, Dell generated $12.1 billion in AI orders, which surpassed all of fiscal 2025 combined. COO Jeff Clarke <a href=\"https:\/\/investors.delltechnologies.com\/static-files\/a699f89f-9706-4bdf-9197-af1809a67198\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">described<\/a> the surge in demand as \u201cunprecedented.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In semiconductor manufacturing, Taiwan\u2019s Foxconn said for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/4568284d-1808-4868-85f7-651398cdea99\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">first time<\/a>, revenue from servers and cloud infrastructure overtook smartphone assembly. Cloud and networking products now account for 41% of its total revenue in Q2, according to the Financial Times. Foxconn expects AI server revenue to increase by 170% year over year in Q3. CEO Kathy Yang cited \u201cvery strong demand\u201d for AI servers for the robust gains.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Among data center operators, Digital Realty saw a 10% increase in revenue to $1.49 billion in Q2, outpacing its historical growth rate. The company raised its full year revenue guidance to $5.93 billion, up from $5.83 billion. Management cited AI-driven digital transformation and cloud growth as catalysts for top line growth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Privately held Vantage Data Centers last week <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20250819333311\/en\/Vantage-Data-Centers-Unveils-Plans-for-Frontier-a-%2425B-Mega-campus-in-Texas-to-Meet-Unprecedented-AI-Demand\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">announced<\/a> a $25 billion investment in West Texas to build a \u201cmega-scale\u201d 1.4GW data center campus in Shackelford County. Called \u201cFrontier,\u201d the campus will boast 10 data centers totaling 3.7 million square feet.
