The big story of the summer has been the future of Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak.<\/p>\n
And late on Sunday, The Athletic reported that Liverpool have reached an agreement to sign the Swedish striker.<\/a> The deal is worth \u00a3130million ($176m) to Newcastle due to solidarity payments and will cost Liverpool \u00a3125m.<\/p>\n Isak has not played for Newcastle this season, while Liverpool had a bid for the Sweden striker rejected at the start of August. But the forward now looks finally set for a move to Anfield.<\/p>\n That move being completed would leave Newcastle a striker short, even after the purchase of Nick Woltemade, 23, from Stuttgart last week.<\/p>\n Newcastle have had two offers for Brentford\u2019s Yoane Wissa turned down, including one last month worth \u00a335million plus \u00a35m. On Saturday, the forward said Brentford are \u201cunduly standing in (his) way\u201d as he pursues an exit. He has not played for the London club this season.<\/p>\n Jorgen Strand Larsen told Wolverhampton Wanderers he wanted to leave the club, but the Midlands side have been insistent they will not sell the forward.<\/p>\n Liverpool are also looking to add defensive reinforcements, having made an offer worth \u00a335million for Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi, who scored for Palace in their 3-0 win against Aston Villa last night. There has also been a bid for Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez<\/a>, while there are talks with Sunderland over recalling Marc Guiu<\/a> from his loan.<\/p>\n In Villa\u2019s loss to Palace at Villa Park on Sunday night, they were without goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez. The Argentinian has emerged as a target for Manchester United<\/a>. Villa are also interested in the 23-year-old Belgian.<\/p>\n United have agreed a deal with Napoli for Rasmus Hojlund<\/a> on a season loan, which includes a conditional obligation to buy at \u20ac44million (about \u00a338m). The 22-year-old travelled to Italy for a medical over the weekend.<\/p>\n Antony could be leaving Old Trafford with a fee agreed in principle with Real Betis<\/a>, with whom he was on loan season. However, there is tension over how the Brazilian\u2019s proposed salary reduction would be sorted.<\/p>\n Tyrell Malacia could be moving to Spain<\/a> with Elche and United in talks over a deal, with a loan looking most likely.<\/p>\n Arsenal, who lost to Liverpool on Sunday, have strengthened in most areas this summer, and Bayer Leverkusen\u2019s Piero Hincapie should be added to Mikel Arteta\u2019s squad<\/a>. The 23-year-old was travelling for a medical on Sunday as the two clubs look to finalise a switch.<\/p>\n Heading for the Emirates exit, though, is defender Jakub Kiwior, who has agreed terms with Porto<\/a>. Arsenal are also hoping to secure the sales of Albert Sambi Lokonga, Fabio Vieira and Reiss Nelson, who have several suitors in Europe.<\/p>\n While Liverpool supporters will be hoping a deal for Isak can be completed on deadline day, the future of midfielder Harvey Elliott could still change.<\/p>\n RB Leipzig, who sold Xavi Simons to Tottenham Hotspur last week for a deal worth \u20ac60million (about \u00a352m), registered an interest in the England Under-21 midfielder.
