{"id":124995,"date":"2025-09-01T14:05:07","date_gmt":"2025-09-01T14:05:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/124995\/"},"modified":"2025-09-01T14:05:07","modified_gmt":"2025-09-01T14:05:07","slug":"airtree-and-blackbird-miss-investment-targets-for-women-led-start-ups","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/124995\/","title":{"rendered":"Airtree and Blackbird miss investment targets for women-led start-ups"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Australia\u2019s two biggest venture capital firms have missed their gender diversity investment targets for a third consecutive year, despite saying companies founded by women are just as likely to succeed as their male counterparts.<\/p>\n<p>New data published by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.afr.com\/technology\/global-institutional-investors-buy-into-650m-airtree-fund-20250806-p5mkx2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Airtree Ventures<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.afr.com\/street-talk\/venture-giant-blackbird-closes-in-on-700m-plus-for-new-fund-20250814-p5mmzn\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Blackbird Ventures<\/a> show companies with only women founders collected just 2 per cent of the total capital invested by each firm over the 2025 financial year.
