During a discussion with journalist Brad Todd concerning the census, the CNN<\/a> anchor remarked, “One of the biggest things is it helps decide the congressional maps,” and inquired, “Does this have everything to do with redistricting?”.<\/p>\n

Brad affirmed, “It does,” before delivering a shocking revelation, declaring, “We know the 2020 census, the errors were almost always to the detriment of red states.” It comes as Trump slammed a ‘fake’ ABC News host after\u00a0Jeffrey\u00a0Epstein bombshell question.<\/a><\/p>\n

The anchor then pressed, “Do we know that?” to which he responded, “We do know that, the Census Bureau’s own audit of its work has proven that. Blue states like Rhode Island were overcounted, Red states like Alabama were undercounted.”<\/p>\n

Brad added, “This is just a fact; it wasn’t all red, blue, but it was disproportionate.”<\/p>\n

This comes after Trump’s declaration last month that he’s directed the Commerce Department to “immediately begin work on a new and highly accurate CENSUS” that will exclude undocumented immigrants.<\/p>\n

Omitting millions of individuals residing in the country without legal authorization represents an unprecedented shift in the nation’s population tally since the inaugural U.S. census in 1790.<\/p>\n

The country’s 14th Amendment mandates that the “whole number of persons in each state” must be incorporated into a crucial set of census figures. These figures are utilized to establish how presidents and congressional representatives are chosen.<\/p>\n

While the President has yet to unveil any specifics regarding the proposal, the Constitution does not grant Trump ultimate control over the census.<\/p>\n

Rather, Trump announced he’s directed the Commerce Department, which supervises the Census Bureau, to “immediately begin work” on a census utilizing “the results and information gained from the Presidential Election of 2024.”<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, CNN highlighted several “pronounced problems” with the President’s census overhaul. They argued the scale of the census operation “takes a decade of work” and that there are “strict rules” governing the procedure, including questions that must be “agreed upon two years in advance.”<\/p>\n

Beyond the timeline concerns, Article 1 of the Constitution grants Congress, not Trump, control over the “actual enumeration” of the population.<\/p>\n

According to the network, Congress has previously authorized the Commerce Department to carry out a “mid-decade census” in years ending in five, such as 2025.<\/p>\n

They also suggested that the President’s primary drive for this stems from wanting “to get undocumented immigrants out of the country.”<\/p>\n

Yet, the Constitution states congressional districts must be allocated based on “the whole number of persons in each State.”<\/p>\n

This breaking news announcement follows Trump’s speculated health concerns. The President has been generating headlines after he was photographed with a painful-looking bruise on his hand.<\/p>\n

In recent months, Trump has been spotted with a similar-looking bruise in the identical location, and sometimes conceals it with makeup.<\/p>\n
