It\u2019s unclear if the 18-year-old will join the school for the upcoming 2025-26 season or return to the QMJHL\u2019s Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, where he emerged as a starter in his draft year, before heading to the college ranks in 2026-27. He was a fourth-round selection in June and checked in as one of the more athletic goalies in this year\u2019s class. The 6\u20192\u2033, 190-lb netminder had a .900 SV%, 2.90 GAA, five shutouts, and a 30-14-6 record for the Huskies last year \u2013 now committing to a school with the same moniker.<\/p>\n<p>Other updates from the Atlantic Division:<\/p>\n<p>As the Bruins continue to overhaul their center pipeline, swinging a trade for Ducks restricted free agent\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/mctavma01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.prohockeyrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-09-02_hr\">Mason McTavish<\/a>\u00a0may be among the most realistic options they have to add a top-six piece, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bostonglobe.com\/2025\/09\/02\/sports\/bruins-james-hagens-mason-mctavish\/?event=event12\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Conor Ryan of the Boston Globe<\/a> opines. \u201cIf McTavish is actually available, the Bruins likely would need to relinquish a first-round pick or two, along with an intriguing prospect or young NHL player,\u201d Ryan wrote. \u201cThere\u2019s plenty of risk involved with moving first-round picks \u2014 especially for a retooling team that could land another top-10 pick next June. But a player such as McTavish also represents a high-upside addition with established production and room to grow \u2014 especially given his age.\u201c<br \/>\nAfter signing a three-year deal this morning, Maple Leafs goalie\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/hildede01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.prohockeyrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-09-02_hr\">Dennis Hildeby<\/a>\u00a0will have a $945K qualifying offer due upon expiry in 2028, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PuckPedia\/status\/1962914691379839462\" rel=\"nofollow\">PuckPedia<\/a> reports.
