There are a lot of expectations on the Brazilian teenager\u2019s shoulders, with Fonseca backed to win major titles in the future<\/a>.<\/p>\n However, after Fonseca lost in the third round of Wimbledon<\/a>, former quarterfinalist Chris Eubanks<\/a> has called out something people have been saying about the 18-year-old.<\/p>\n Fonseca<\/a> made his Wimbledon<\/a> main draw debut this year, beating Jacob Fearnley<\/a> and Jenson Brooksby to reach the third round for the first time.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n When speaking about the Brazilian on the Served with Andy Roddick<\/a> podcast, the aforementioned Eubanks called out people for criticising Fonseca.<\/p>\n Eubanks pointed out how far he had come from the start of the year, when Fonseca was ranked at world number 145.<\/p>\n \u201cThe one that really bothers me is the Fonseca one,\u201d said Eubanks. \u201cI have seen certain people and a certain discourse and fans sharing their opinions saying \u2018I still don\u2019t get the Fonseca hype\u2019.<\/p>\n \u201cI go he was 130 in the world to start this year. He third rounds Aussie from qualifying in his main draw Grand Slam debut, and he beats [Andrey] Rublev.<\/p>\n \u201cHe then goes to Roland Garros and third rounds there. These are his first times playing best of five set matches and he\u2019s not worried about losing in the first round.<\/p>\n \u201cHe lost to Jarry at Wimbledon but won a round. And I\u2019m like he has played three slams so far, he has just entered the top 100, he also has a Tour title.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd he\u2019s entering a point where because he hasn\u2019t made a second week yet people are going he just doesn\u2019t have it, I don\u2019t see the hype.
