Herlihy is thought to be staying as a writer with Higgins leaving. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tElsewhere, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/tommy-brennan\/\" id=\"auto-tag_tommy-brennan\" data-tag=\"tommy-brennan\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tommy Brennan<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/jeremy-culhane\/\" id=\"auto-tag_jeremy-culhane\" data-tag=\"jeremy-culhane\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jeremy Culhane<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/kam-patterson\/\" id=\"auto-tag_kam-patterson\" data-tag=\"kam-patterson\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kam Patterson<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/veronika-slowikowska\/\" id=\"auto-tag_veronika-slowikowska\" data-tag=\"veronika-slowikowska\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Veronika Slowikowska<\/a> are joining the show.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIt comes after <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/08\/snl-heidi-gardner-leaving-1236500760\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Heidi Gardner,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/08\/devon-walker-exiting-snl-1236497237\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Devon Walker,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/08\/emil-wakim-snl-exit-1236498808\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Emil Wakim<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/08\/snl-michael-longfellow-leaving-1236500129\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Michael Longfellow<\/a> left the show, not quite the exodus that many were expecting. It also means that unless any of the other current cast members leave, the cast will be bigger than it was last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSaturday Night Live, which is produced by Broadway Video, returns on October 4.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tBrennan, who was previously a New Face of Comedy at Just for Laughs in 2023, has performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Culhane is a regular on Dropout TV, formerly known as CollegeHumor, and also performs with the Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles. Patterson is a stand-up comedian who is a regular on live comedy podcast Kill Tony, which has aired on Netflix, and will appear in the streamer\u2019s 72 Hours comedy movie that stars Kevin Hart and <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/snl\/\" id=\"auto-tag_snl\" data-tag=\"snl\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">SNL<\/a>\u2019s Marcello Hern\u00e1ndez. Slowikowska is known for her viral sketch comedy content on Instagram and TikTok and has appeared in Tires and What We Do in the Shadows.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Saturday Night Live has added five new cast members ahead of Season 51.
