This \u201cGoonies\u201d star has no interest in revisiting the beloved movie 40 years later.<\/p>\n

At least, I hope [they] will.\u201d<\/p>\n Feldman, meanwhile, agreed and said that he was excited for a potential \u201cGoonies\u201d sequel four decades after the original\u2019s release.<\/p>\n \u201cWe love that\u00a0Steven Spielberg\u00a0is engaged and back in the\u00a0\u2018Goonies\u2019\u00a0mindset, so that\u2019s exciting for all of us, and whatever happens, we hope that it\u2019s worth it,\u201d the \u201cStand By Me\u201d star, 54, said at the time.<\/p>\n Sean Astin, Kerri Green, Corey Feldman, Martha Plimpton, Josh Brolin and Ke Huy Quan in \u201cThe Goonies.\u201d \u00a9Warner Bros\/Courtesy Everett Collection<\/p>\n But Plimpton and Feldman\u2019s remarks came as a surprise, because both stars had dispelled talk about a rumored \u201cGoonies\u201d sequel<\/a> just a few months earlier.<\/p>\n \u201cPeople, there is no Goonies2 script, there is no one \u2018attached,\u2019 Spielberg is not directing, it\u2019s not real,\u201d the \u201cTask\u201d actress wrote on Instagram in September 2024.<\/p>\n \u201c2\u2019SDAY, IS #GOONIES2 REAL?! EVERY1 IS ASKING\u2026 I CAN OFFICIALLY TELL U 100% NO! I HAV NO INFO THAT A SEQUEL IS IN THE WORKX,\u201d Feldman added.<\/p>\n
