NFL legend John Elway is devastated by the loss of his longtime agent after his tragic death in a freak golf cart accident.<\/p>\n
The football icon\u2019s close friend and agent, Jeff Sperbeck, 62, died in April after falling off a golf cart that the former Denver Broncos star was driving.<\/p>\n

The Riverside County Sheriff\u2019s Office in California just announced that an investigation<\/a> into the incident found no criminal activity, and that Sperbeck\u2019s death was an accident.<\/p>\n Sperbeck became Elway\u2019s agent in the 1990s. They began a wine business in 2013. 7cellars\/Instagram<\/p>\n Sperbeck fell off the back of a golf cart while Elway was driving. Jeff Sperbeck\/Facebook<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s over,\u2019\u2019 Riverside Sheriff Chad Bianco told local outlet 9NEWS on Friday. \u201cWe\u2019ve talked to everyone involved and we found nothing new. There was nothing criminal, it was what we\u2019ve been saying all along that this was a tragic accident.\u201d<\/p>\n The incident happened at the ultra exclusive, members-only golf course designed by Tom Fazio at the Madison Club in La Quinta, Calif.<\/p>\n Adele, Justin Bieber, Apple billionaire Tim Cook, Universal Music Group\u2019s Lucian Grange, and the Kardashian and Jenner fam have multimillion dollar mansions<\/a> in the private enclave.<\/p>\n Elway has been cleared of wrongdoing with police ruling the incident an accident. AP<\/p>\n A source tells us that Elway has become \u201cwithdrawn\u201d following his friend\u2019s passing.
