Josh Hall has delivered a harsh response to Christina Haack\u2019s public comments on their messy divorce. <\/p>\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t want to have a public feud and have a back and forth publicly,\u201d Hall told the Daily Mail <\/a>in an interview published Tuesday, noting that he previously tried to be \u201crespectful of her children and both of our families\u201d by remaining silent on the volatile split. \u201cNow I need to have something to say because, unfortunately, people have only read what she says.\u201d<\/p>\n The realtor added of Haack\u2019s previous disclosures <\/a>\u2014 many of which were delivered via social media \u2014 \u201cI thought it lacked class, to be honest.\u201d <\/p>\n Hall, 44, asserted that \u201cdivorce isn\u2019t something for public consumption,\u201d though he confessed to an understanding that the couple are \u201cpublic figures.\u201d <\/p>\n Josh Hall spoke out after his divorce from Christina Haack was settled. Instagram \/ @thechristinahall<\/p>\n \u201cI added wherever I could and I paid whatever share I was able to throughout the relationship.\u201d <\/p>\n Haack ultimately paid her ex-husband $300,000 to divide their assets and Nashville estate, and in their judgement, both waived the right to spousal support following the demise of their union.<\/p>\n Haack also paid $40,000 for her ex\u2019s attorney\u2019s fees, some mediation fees and an additional sum of $100,000 paid last year. For his part, Hall claimed to the outlet to have spent \u201cclose to a quarter million dollars\u201d on the messy split.<\/p>\n \u201cThe reality was, as long as we split things fairly and evenly as we should, there was never going to be a need for it,\u201d Hall said. \u201cSo when I voluntarily waived spousal support, it was kind of always my plan as long as things were done fairly.\u201d <\/p>\n Hall also claimed that while he \u201ccould have\u201d collected temporary support, he \u201cdidn\u2019t ask for a penny.\u201d Haack was ultimately awarded possession of a multi-million dollar home in Nashville in their settlement. \u201cI\u2019m not a confrontational person,\u201d Hall said, adding that he\u2019d \u201crather avoid it\u201d and \u201cjust go to a rental.\u201d<\/p>\n He explained that he \u201cvoluntarily gave up more\u201d to put an end to the messy breakup, for which Haack \u201cshould be thankful.\u201d In the settlement, Hall walked away with two Nashville properties<\/a>, a California property, several vehicles and the right not to reimburse Haack for the $100,000 payout.<\/p>\n Hall ultimately walked away with several vehicles, several properties and a $300,000 payout, among other wins, in their settlement.
