Auger-Aliassime [25] vs A. de Minaur [8]

Surprise quarterfinalist Felix Auger-Aliassime and world No.8 Alex de Minaur meet for the fourth time in Wednesday’s first quarterfinal, with the Aussie bidding for his first Grand Slam semifinal in his sixth appearance in this round at a major. De Minaur has yet to face a player ranked higher than No.56, and he has made proper use of his friendly draw, racing through his four rounds in eight hours and 28 minutes.

Auger-Aliassime, meanwhile, got his biggest ever win at a major in the third round when he toppled third-seeded Alexander Zverev. He followed up that win with another impressive effort, a 7-5, 6-3, 6-4 win over No.15-seeded Andrey Rublev.

Not Before 1:00 PM – Women’s Singles QF
A. Anisimova [8] vs I. Swiatek [2]

Amanda Anisimova is seeking redemption, after suffering a double-bagel thrashing at the hands of Iga Swiatek in this year’s Wimbledon final. The 24-year-old American has done well to pick herself up this summer, winning seven of nine on the North American hard courts and booking her first trip to the US Open quarterfinals.

Now she runs smack into the woman that obliterated her at Wimbledon, hoping to put a dent in the Pole’s momentum. Swiatek carries an 11-match Grand Slam winning streak into the matchup, and she’s looked very comfortable on the hard courts at Flushing Meadows, particularly in her last two rounds.

7:00 PM – Women’s Singles QF
K. Muchova [11] vs N. Osaka [23]

Four Czechs entered the quarterfinals at the US Open across both singles draws but it is all up to Karolina Muchova now. The 29-year-old, the first Czech woman to reach the US Open QF in three consecutive years since Karolina Pliskova from 2016-18, takes a 2-2 lifetime record against Naomi Osaka into Wednesday night’s showdown as she bids to reach her fifth Grand Slam semifinal.

She’ll be up against a resurgent Osaka, who is into her first major quarterfinal since she won her fourth major crown at the 2021 US Open and who is fresh off her straight-sets victory over Coco Gauff in the round of 16. The 27-year-old four-time major champion has won every Grand Slam event in which she has reached the quarterfinals.

Followed By – Men’s Singles QF
J. Sinner [1] vs L. Musetti [10]

Jannik Sinner has a lot of respect for his compatriots, and shies away from talking about himself when there is an opportunity to mention the strength of the group. He did that again this week, when talking about being a part of the first all-Italian major quarterfinal in Grand Slam Open Era history. His opponent, Lorenzo Musetti, deserves plenty of credit for his role in the Italian renaissance. He’s been on the rise over the last two seasons and is now a card-carrying member of the Top 10.

But Sinner has been a cut above his countrymen of late. He has won 69 of 73 hard court matches since the start of 2024 and takes a 25-match hard court winning streak at the majors into his third career clash with Musetti – Sinner took the first two meetings in straight sets.

By Chris Oddo | @TheFanChild | Tuesday September 2, 2025 Quarterfinal action continues on Wednesday in Flushing Meadows.…

[72
99,428
0":"post-130441","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-tennis","8":"tag-sports","9":"tag-tennis
["GET
