Last month, we got to learn the full Season 3 DLC lineup for Street Fighter 6<\/a>, and now it’s time to see the first new character in action.

Capcom just released the official gameplay trailer for Sagat in Street Fighter 6.<\/p>\n

\n\t

\n <\/p>\n

The new trailer provides a much better look at Sagat’s toolkit in SF6, which has a lot of familiar moves for fans, but also some new tricks up his nonexistent sleeves.<\/p>\n


\n <\/p>\n

He obviously has his signature Tiger Uppercut, Tiger Knee and Tiger Shots back once again, and there’s now even more he can do.<\/p>\n


\n <\/p>\n

Sagat looks to have a new knee strike special, Tiger Nexus, that has multiple follow-ups including what may be an overhead, a high kick and launching knee that allows for combo extensions.<\/p>\n


\n <\/p>\n

It appears the Muay Thai emperor can also now charge up his Tiger Uppercuts to perform a cinematic follow-up and presumably more damage.<\/p>\n


\n <\/p>\n

His level 1 Super Art seems to be his Tiger Cannon, which was his V-Trigger in Street Fighter 5, and is shown beating out Ryu’s Shinku Hadoken head on.<\/p>\n


\n <\/p>\n

The level 2 Super, Savage Tiger, appears to have four different versions including one that launches the opponent into the air for further combos.<\/p>\n


\n <\/p>\n

And his level 3 Tiger Vanquisher is a brutal beatdown, which is fitting to see used against his former boss.<\/p>\n


\n <\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, Sagat looks to have ridiculous range on some of his normals and is shown out poking his opponents with ease.<\/p>\n


\n <\/p>\n

It also appears as though Capcom has leaned even further into his Muay Thai style with more elbows and knee strikes than ever before.<\/p>\n


\n <\/p>\n

We also get to see that Sagat’s Outfit 2 is his classic costume from the original Street Fighter games as well as get a better look at his new Proud Spire stage.<\/p>\n


\n <\/p>\n

Sagat is scheduled to release on August 5 alongside the first batch of Outfit 4 DLC for Street Fighter 6<\/a>.<\/p>\n


\n <\/p>\n

Those attending Evo 2025 next month can try Sagat a few days early<\/a> at Capcom’s booth for the event.<\/p>\n
