Gal Gitter, a former partner at Ibex Investors, has been appointed partner at Alpha Partners, which is establishing operations in Israel. Alpha is not a traditional venture capital fund, but a growth investment fund that manages $400 million and invests alongside venture capital firms. Its goal is to help early-stage VC funds maintain their stakes in companies transitioning to growth stages.<\/p>\n

Founded 12 years ago, Alpha provides capital that enables funds to preserve their holdings in portfolio companies and avoid dilution at later stages. The firm has already made several investments in companies founded by Israeli entrepreneurs using its partnership model, including cybersecurity companies Semperis and Zero Networks, underground mapping company Exodigo, and healthcare AI company Vi Labs.<\/p>\n

Alpha\u2019s operations in Israel will be co-managed by managing partner Steve Brotman, who is based in the U.S., together with Gitter.<\/p>\n
