Two of boxing\u2019s greatest competitors will go head-to-head in the ring.<\/p>\n
Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather are set to fight in an exhibition match after signing a deal to make it happen, CSI Sports\/Fight Sports announced on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The fight will happen at some point in the spring of 2026, although the location and date of the match are still being determined, per the outfit\u2019s release.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mayweather previously fought in a professional match back in August 2017 against Conor McGregor and Tyson fought last November in a Dallas showdown with Jake Paul, which was streamed on Netflix.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen CSI came to me about stepping in the ring with Floyd Mayweather, I thought,\u00a0\u2018No way this happens,\u2019\u00a0but, Floyd said yes,\u201d Tyson said in the release. \u201cThis fight is something neither the world nor I ever thought would or could happen. However, boxing has entered a new era of the unpredictable \u2014 and this fight is as unpredictable as it gets.<\/p>\n
\u201cI still can\u2019t believe Floyd wants to really do this.\u00a0It\u2019s going to be detrimental to his health, but he wants to do it, so it\u2019s signed and it\u2019s happening!\u201d<\/p>\n

Mayweather didn\u2019t appear too bothered.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve been doing this for 30 years and there hasn\u2019t been a single fighter that can tarnish my legacy,\u201d Mayweather said. \u201cYou already know that if I am going to do something, it\u2019s going to be big and it\u2019s going to be legendary. I\u2019m the best in the business of boxing. This exhibition will give the fans what they want.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since the fight is an exhibition match, Mayweather\u2019s 50-0 record won\u2019t be in peril by the bout.<\/p>\n
