(KGNS) &#8211; The Laredo Police Department has confirmed that they responded to a possible overdose related death. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">On Thursday, September 4 right around 3:30 p.m. officers were sent to respond to a call regarding an unresponsive person at the block of 3700 block of Main Ave.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">When officers reached the scene, they were met with a 57-year-old man in the front yard of the residence. Officers had to initiate CPR.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Officers had to call for assistance from the fire department and determined that there was no sign of life. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The officers on the scene located controlled substances and drug paraphernalia next to the victim, indicating a possible overdose death pending the autopsy report from the Medical Examiner\u2019s Office. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The DEA Task Force and CAPERS Investigators were requested to the scene, and the case remains ongoing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">There are 10 confirmed overdose deaths and 1 pending autopsy report from M.E.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">For more headlines, click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kgns.tv\/news\/local\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2025 KGNS.
