The US Open is approaching its latter stages, and the men\u2019s singles semifinals are now set, with two enticing clashes awaiting. <\/p>\n

World number one Jannik Sinner will meet Felix Auger-Aliassime<\/a> for the fourth time in his career, just weeks after dominating him at the Cincinnati Open.<\/p>\n

On the other half of the draw, second seed Carlos Alcaraz is set to face Novak Djokovic<\/a> in what will mark the ninth chapter in their iconic rivalry.<\/p>\n

It is a familiar-looking lineup in the final four at Flushing Meadows, and one that has just made ATP<\/a> history.<\/p>\n

Sinner<\/a> and Djokovic<\/a> have made the semifinals of all four Grand Slams this year, and are now the fourth pair in the Open Era to do so. <\/p>\n

They follow Rod Laver and Tony Roche in 1969, Rafael Nadal<\/a> and Roger Federer<\/a> in 2008, along with Andy Murray and the Serb himself in 2011. <\/p>\n

4 \u2013 Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner are just the fourth pair in the Open Era to reach all four Men’s Singles SFs in the same season at GS events:<\/p>\n

Djokovic has only gone as far as the semifinals in Melbourne, Paris and London, while Sinner has gone on to win the Australian Open, Wimbledon, and finish as runner-up in Roland Garros. <\/p>\n

Alcaraz, on the other hand, won the French Open and reached the final at the All England Club, but only made it to the quarterfinals down under. <\/p>\n

Each of Novak Djokovic\u2019s defeats in Grand Slam semifinals this year<\/p>\n

On three separate occasions in 2025, Djokovic has been two victories removed from major title number 25. <\/p>\n

At the Australian Open, he knocked out Alcaraz in the last eight but had to retire during his semifinal with Alexander Zverev<\/a> due to injury. <\/p>\n
