{"id":135507,"date":"2025-09-05T20:57:07","date_gmt":"2025-09-05T20:57:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/135507\/"},"modified":"2025-09-05T20:57:07","modified_gmt":"2025-09-05T20:57:07","slug":"netflix-buys-saturn-return-with-rachel-brosnahan-charles-melton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/135507\/","title":{"rendered":"Netflix Buys Saturn Return With Rachel Brosnahan, Charles Melton"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/netflix\/\" id=\"auto-tag_netflix\" data-tag=\"netflix\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Netflix<\/a> has picked up \u201cSaturn Return,\u201d a hot project with <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/rachel-brosnahan\/\" id=\"auto-tag_rachel-brosnahan\" data-tag=\"rachel-brosnahan\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rachel Brosnahan<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/charles-melton\/\" id=\"auto-tag_charles-melton\" data-tag=\"charles-melton\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Charles Melton<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/will-poulter\/\" id=\"auto-tag_will-poulter\" data-tag=\"will-poulter\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Will Poulter<\/a> attached to star.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tPlan B \u2014 Brad Pitt,\u00a0Dede Gardner\u00a0and\u00a0Jeremy Kleiner\u2019s company, which just announced its first international <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/film\/global\/mediawan-plan-b-london-baby-reindeer-producer-ed-macdonald-1236460489\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">outpost in London<\/a> \u2014 is producing \u201cSaturn Return\u201d with Emily Wolfe, who joined Plan B in 2022.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cSaturn Return\u201d will be directed by Greg Kwedar, whose recent film \u201cSing Sing\u201d earned an Oscar nomination for best screenplay. The film was penned by Gaelyn Golde, with revisions by Kwedar and Clint Bentley. It reteams Kwedar and Bentley with Netflix on the heels of acquiring their Sundance breakout \u201cTrain Dreams,\u201d which will also screen at TIFF.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cSaturn Return\u201d is described as a timeless Chicago-set romance exploring the themes of love, loss, and life\u2019s complicated turns in the ten years between the aspirational young love of college and the complicated realities of adulthood.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tSince breaking through in Todd Haynes\u2019 \u201cMay December,\u201d which Netflix also released, Melton starred in A24\u2019s action-packed war film\u00a0\u201cWarfare,\u201d\u00a0directed by Alex Garland and Ray Mendoza. He will next be seen in Nicolas Winding Refn\u2019s \u201cHer Private Hell,\u201d opposite Sophie Thatcher, Shioli Kutsuna, Dougray Scott and Kristine Froseth.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tEmmy winner Brosnahan takes on the project following a busy summer where she starred as Lois Lane in WB\u2019s hit \u201cSuperman\u201d movie, as well as James Hawes\u2019 thriller, \u201cThe Amateur,\u201d with Rami Malek.
